MATS 2026 IN the Books

Our Mission

The Federation of Professional Truckers exists to restore professionalism, accountability, and fairness to the trucking industry.

We advocate for the recognition of trucking as a skilled trade and represent drivers, owner-operators, and carriers who operate under real regulatory and financial pressure every day. While others argue online, we focus on structural solutions that improve safety, sustainability, and economic stability across the industry.

Our work centers on enforcing existing broker regulations, modernizing CSA and insurance systems, and addressing antitrust practices that distort the market and harm compliant carriers. We believe rules should apply evenly, not selectively, and that compliance should not be used as a weapon against the people doing the work.

Through research, formal petitions, and direct engagement with regulators, we pursue practical reforms grounded in real-world operations, not theory. Our goal is a trucking industry built on transparency, equal enforcement, and respect for the skilled professionals who keep the nation moving.

OUR INITIATIVES

Advocacy

Enforcement and Reform

We advocate for the recognition of trucking as a skilled trade and for the fair, consistent enforcement of existing laws. Our work focuses on broker accountability, CSA reform, insurance reform, and antitrust issues that harm compliant drivers and carriers. We don’t chase headlines. We pursue structural change through research, filings, and direct engagement.

Community

Building a United Industry

We bring together drivers, owner-operators, carriers, and industry professionals to share real experiences and solutions. By fostering open dialogue and collaboration, we work to reduce division, strengthen professional standards, and build a community focused on progress, not infighting.

Education

Knowledge That Protects

We provide clear, practical education on regulations, rights, and industry systems so professionals can make informed decisions. Our goal is to replace confusion and misinformation with understanding, helping truckers protect themselves, operate sustainably, and engage confidently in industry reform.
